Emprint

I began in the printing business over 30 years ago as a customer service representative. As I gained more knowledge and experience, I was promoted to management, eventually serving for five years as plant manager. Because I had such a wide range of experience in our industry, I was subsequently named State Government Liaison. In this role, I manage four major state contracts, which serve a variety of Louisiana state government agencies. I also help to provide the state’s universities with a variety of printing and graphics services. Over the years, I have become an expert on the state’s purchasing system, helping to ease various state entities through the appropriate state purchasing procedures.

I started working in the printing industry January 2008 as a Customer Service Representative. For 6 years I learned something new every day about printing, while providing support for clients. I quickly became fascinated by the process of printing and the finished products we could produce using PAPER. Our clients had needs and I wanted to be sure we met each and every one. In September 2013 I was moved into a Sales Executive position where I began to learn and grow even more along with the ever-growing industry. Printing allows our creativity to soar and the sky is the limit! 

As VP of Arts & Culture for Forum 35 I spend my spare time being involved in many volunteer activities and helping to guide young professionals on their journey to making their own marks! I am lucky enough to have two amazing children that enjoy accompanying me to most volunteer events. Cultivating kindness one heart at a time.

Originally from Ohio, I moved to Lafayette and began selling printing over 30 years ago. For more than twenty of those years I was a printing sales representative at TriStar Graphics Group, which merged with Emprint in 2014. I’ve worked with everyone: corporations, medical, educational and community organizations, small businesses and non-profits. I’ve worked with in-house marketing departments and advertising agencies. I pride myself on my expertise, innovation, knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and devotion to my clients.

John is a New Orleans native and comes to Emprint with more than 40 years in the graphic industry. He gained his printing experience from the ground up by starting with production, typography and graphic design. He strengthened his experience by training in pre-press operations, estimating and purchasing. John served as vice-president and chief administrator for Crown Sterling International and has spent the last 20 years in sales with Garrity Printing. He studied Liberal Arts at the University of New Orleans and graduated from De La Salle High School.

I started in the printing business, in my dad’s shop in 1970 at age 16, worked in the print shop at NLU while attending college and later worked at Tom Gates, Inc., where I received an excellent education in the process of delivering quality printing in a timely manner.  After working for American Printing, Inc., Associated Business Forms and 20 years as the production manager at TriStar Graphics Group, Inc., I am very pleased to be at Emprint/Moran.

Our industry has experienced many changes and after 45 years in various positions in production, management and sales, I have a unique view of seeing jobs, projects and clients from many perspectives.   

Pat Garrity brings to Emprint/Moran Printing almost 50 years of printing sales and production experience, including 28 years as founder/president of his own successful printing company, Garrity Printing in New Orleans. He is passionate about the industry, family, sports and the city of New Orleans. He is excited to become a member of a company with a great history of its own that began in the city of New Orleans and is back to build a team of talented professionals such as Pat to lead the way in the printing industry in the city.

Pat began his career as a helper at Upton Printing in 1965 and was promoted to pressman. Since then, he has served in many sales and production capacities for some of the most respected printing companies in New Orleans. In 1984 he began Garrity Printing in his family garage and went on to grow the company into a company with over 50 employees occupying a 40,000 square foot printing and warehouse facility with 6.5 million in annual sales. He served as a board member of Printing Industry Association of the South, (PIAS), a seven-state printing association.

Pat attended Nicholls High School and St. Bernard Community College. He served 6 years in Army reserves. He is married to his wife of 52 years and they have one son and 3 grandchildren.
